About MHAT

MHAT is a Charitable Trust based in Kozhikode, Kerala, India. It provides good quality, comprehensive, and recovery-oriented mental health care to the poorest sections of the population with severe mental disorders.

The primary mission of MHAT is to deliver recovery-oriented mental health care to the most underserved populations via community psychiatry. This mission is the cornerstone of MHAT's existence, with all other services we provide designed to intricately complement and bolster this fundamental commitment.

MHAT's courses are designed to empower individuals with knowledge and skills in the field of mental health. The Introduction to Mental Health course is a great starting point for beginners, while the Internship in Mental Health is a more in-depth experience for serious students.

MHAT's ABCD Clinic is devoted to children and provides an unparalleled and all-encompassing strategy for tackling concerns pertaining to attention management, and communication including verbal, and nonverbal modes and interpersonal communication.

Swathvam Gender Clinic from MHAT is a specialized haven for mental health care meticulously tailored to cater to the diverse needs of gender and sexual minorities, encompassing transgender individuals and beyond.
