MHAT offers internship programmes and diploma courses

There are two types of internship programmes in Clinical Psychology and Social work

1. Short term internship programme
This is the internship programme for graduate level students, post graduate level students and those who completed Masters in Psychology through distance education. The duration of training depends up on the requirement of the concerned university and students.

2. One year full time internship programme
This paid internship programme is for those who completed Masters Programme in Psychology / Social work.

Diploma Programmes

In collaboration with the School of Vocational Education, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (SVE-TISS), MHAT is conducting one-year Diploma Courses.

The diploma will qualify the students for a job in the Geriatric care sector and child care sector. The courses are certified/offered by TISS, a deemed university under the Government of India. The course consists of 40% theory and 60% practical.

There are two Diploma programmes.
1. Diploma in Geriatric Care (30 seats, Basic qualification: 12th standard pass)
2. Diploma in Early Child Development (30 seats, Basic qualification: 12th standard pass)
Admission / enrolment of candidates is done during June-August every year.

Courses in Community Mental Health

To empower and strengthen the non professional and professional work forces, MHAT offers different courses in the field of Mental Health also.

1. Certificate course in Community Mental Health CCMH (Duration: 3 months, 2 Classes in a month and practical training)

2. Certificate course in Recovery Oriented Mental Health Services CROMH (Duration: 2 months , 4 Classes in a month and practical training. (For those who completed CCMH)

3. Basic Course in psychosocial interventions-BCPI ( Duration: 3 months, 2 Classes in a month and practical training. (For those who completed CROMH)

4. Certificate Course in counseling (Duration: 3 months, 2 Classes in a month and practical training. (For those who completed CROMH)

5. Advanced Course in Psychosocial Interventions (Duration: 8 months, 2 Classes in a month and practical training. (For those who completed BCPI)
